[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Goseong County in Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that it held the 2021 Bountiful Harvest Hand Rice Planting Experience event for residents at the local test cultivation paddy field within the Agricultural Technology Center.
This event was organized to provide an opportunity to understand the preciousness of nature and the production process of rice that appears on our tables by planting rice seedlings according to traditional methods in the paddy rows, and for children to learn cooperation and community spirit by forming teams with their families or neighbors.
The event was held with 17 families (teams) and 52 participants, featuring traditional hand rice planting experience, viewing traditional farming tools, a rice seedling quick planting contest, and a raffle of prizes provided by farmers.
Starting with a demonstration by the staff of the Eco-friendly Agriculture Division, all participants experienced hand rice planting for the very first time in their lives.
The participating children said, "It's fun. I want to do it again," and the accompanying parents shared their impressions, saying, "It was a precious time to relive memories, and we definitely want to participate again next year."
