Shinhan Bank Donates Transparent Umbrellas for Children's Traffic Safety During the Rainy Season


[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 8th that it will hold the '#ShinhanMaeumUmbrella' event until the end of June to ensure children's traffic safety during the rainy season.


This event is based on the fact that children's visibility is reduced when using umbrellas on rainy days, increasing the risk of traffic accidents. Depending on participation, transparent umbrellas will be donated to daycare centers and elementary schools nationwide. Shinhan Bank plans to convey its commitment to children's safety during the rainy season by producing transparent umbrellas tailored to children's eye level.


Shinhan Bank pursues a virtuous cycle and coexistence in our society by spreading positive influence according to Shinhan Financial Group's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy. Recently, it released a new advertisement featuring actor Jo Seung-woo with the message "Just as you tilt an umbrella for someone precious, we pay attention to our customers' hearts," which surpassed 1.7 million views on YouTube within a week.


To participate in the event, upload a photo with an umbrella together with the person you want to pay attention to on your Instagram using the hashtag #ShinhanMaeumUmbrella, then comment on and like the Shinhan Bank Instagram event announcement.


Shinhan Bank will select 10 participants who share warm stories and award them gift certificates worth approximately 300,000 KRW. Additionally, 500 people will be drawn weekly, totaling 2,000 people, to receive iced coffee gifticons.


A Shinhan Bank official said, "We hope this event will be an opportunity to think once more about the people around us whom we want to pay attention to."
