Solar Power Generation Revenue Used to Improve Village Residents' Welfare, Including Community Feasts and More
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 8th that it will install a 'Resident Participation Village Community Solar Power Plant' in village community-owned spaces.
The province will invest a total project cost of 2.5 billion KRW to install village community power plants with a capacity of 1,475 kW in 59 villages within the province.
The village community power plant project is a project where local residents become the main operators and install solar power facilities with a capacity of 20 to 100 kW in village community-owned spaces.
The installation cost for a 25 kW solar power system is approximately 42.5 million KRW. With local government subsidies, the village community only needs to bear a self-payment ratio of 60% (25.5 million KRW) or less.
The annual net profit, after deducting installation costs and maintenance fees from the power generation revenue (annual 5.33 to 5.95 million KRW), is about 1.49 to 2.12 million KRW.
Villages wishing to participate in the project can inquire at the energy department of the respective city or county by the end of July.
