"The issue of disclosing it externally is on a different level"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The Democratic Party of Korea announced on the 7th that it will take "strict and transparent measures" in response to the announcement of the full investigation results on real estate transactions of Democratic Party lawmakers conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
Senior Spokesperson Ko Yong-jin said at a meeting with reporters on the same day, "We have been notified of the relevant details by the Commission, and after closely examining the related matters, we will determine a specific stance."
He added, "The Commission will provide us with the list of the lawmakers involved, but publicly disclosing it is a different matter," indicating that further discussion is necessary.
He continued, "Today, we will share the materials with the leadership, and discuss it tomorrow," adding, "The leadership's position and measures will be organized through the Supreme Council meeting."
The Commission announced on the same day that 12 Democratic Party lawmakers were found to have potential illegal suspicions in the process of real estate transactions and holdings.
