[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Geoje City Public Health Center in Gyeongnam announced on the 7th that it will operate a non-face-to-face online exercise program called 'Good Morning Home Training Class.'


The Home Training Class will be held twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for 8 weeks from the 22nd to August 19th, from 10 a.m. for one hour via real-time broadcast through the mobile app Naver Band.


Participants will receive 1:1 obesity management services including pre- and post-tests (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, waist circumference, body composition tests), meal diary writing for dietary habit improvement, and nutrition counseling, along with exercise equipment such as yoga mats and resistance bands. Outstanding participants will be awarded prizes to motivate exercise practice.


Applicants are limited to the first 30 adults with obesity who own a smartphone (BMI 25kg/㎡ or higher, or waist circumference 90cm or more for men, 85cm or more for women), and recruitment will be held from the 7th to the 18th.


Due to COVID-19, citizens who wish to apply via pre-reservation visit can make a reservation at the Public Health Center's Integrated Health Management Office. For more detailed information, please contact the Geoje City Public Health Center's Integrated Health Management Office.


A representative of the Geoje City Public Health Center said, "In these times when health management is more important due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, we hope this will help relieve stress through regular exercise and promote the health of citizens."
