[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] On the 2nd, Shinan-gun, Jeonnam, the Tourism Council, and Dessert Pick Korea Co., Ltd. Cafe Bora signed a business agreement for the distribution of purple desserts at Shinan-gun Office.
According to Shinan-gun on the 7th, the main content of the agreement is to distribute purple sweet potato desserts made with Cafe Bora's know-how to Shinan Purple Island, which represents the purple color, maximizing the effect of color marketing in the 'food industry,' the flower of tourism.
Shinan's Purple Island is already a purple hot place recognized and spotlighted by global media such as CNN, Fox News, Reuters, and German TV broadcasts, but it lacked distinctive local food, leaving tourists who enjoy SNS without lasting memories and souvenir gifts, which was regrettable.
In this regard, Shinan-gun and Cafe Bora, connected by the purple bond, share the will to promote Purple Island as a world-class color tourism destination and establish a cooperative partnership in the food sector.
Cafe Bora, which started in 2015 in a small space of about 9 pyeong in the alleys of Samcheong-dong, has expressed its ambition to make Shinan Purple Island a world-renowned purple dessert spot based on its experience of expanding overseas to the United States, Canada, Thailand, and other countries through purple desserts.
Shinan-gun plans to develop various color foods tailored to modern tastes, not only desserts but also purple kalguksu, purple chips, purple steamed buns, etc., using the healthy ingredients of 1004 Islands Shinan produced through clean air, healthy soil, and organic farming, and to expand supply starting from Purple Island to major tourist sites in Shinan such as Cheonsa Bridge, Imja Bridge, Infinite Bridge, and Museum Park.
In particular, to improve residents' income and promote mutual development through the consumption of local agricultural products, they plan to continuously develop representative local food products such as purple beet, creating a win-win effect that drives the local economy.
