[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 7th that it has signed a 'Cultural Arts Sponsorship Business Agreement' with Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.
Through this business agreement, both parties will establish an annual Shinhan Music Award Winners Concert Week every August and regularize the classical festival 'Shinhan Music Award Week,' featuring promising performers who have emerged through the Shinhan Music Awards.
This year's first concert will be held on August 26 at the Sejong Chamber Hall, where past winners of the Shinhan Music Award in each category?3rd Cello Minji Kim, 4th Violin Kyumin Park, 4th Vocal Jeongrae Kim, and 9th Piano Sunyul?will come together to deliver a beautiful performance.
The Shinhan Music Award, Shinhan Bank's representative mecenat program started in 2009, has discovered and nurtured over 50 promising domestic classical musicians to date.
Since her inauguration, Bank President Okdong Jin has sought to expand opportunities for awardees to grow alongside society by newly promoting various performance opportunities with musicians with developmental disabilities. Through this business agreement with Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, it has become possible to support their growth into distinguished classical performers who contribute their talents to society.
Since 2007, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts has enabled citizens to enjoy high-quality performances by Shinhan Music Award winners at affordable prices through its representative social contribution project 'Onshimpyo.' It plans to invite culturally marginalized groups and practice ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) initiatives through cultural arts programs with Shinhan Bank.
