Bucheon City Offers 50,000 KRW Consumer Support for Spending 200,000 KRW in Local Currency

First-Come, First-Served Payments Until 62 Billion Won Budget Is Exhausted

Bucheon City Offers 50,000 KRW Consumer Support for Spending 200,000 KRW in Local Currency

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that starting from the 1st, consumers who make payments of 200,000 KRW or more using the local currency 'Bucheon Pay' or who recharge 200,000 KRW or more for the first time will receive a consumption support fund of 50,000 KRW.

This Gyeonggi local currency consumption support fund will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis until the total budget of 62 billion KRW is exhausted, targeting approximately 1.24 million Gyeonggi local currency users.

If you spend 200,000 KRW or more with Bucheon Pay, or if you have registered Bucheon Pay but have never recharged it before June 1st of this year, you can receive the consumption support fund simply by recharging 200,000 KRW.

Existing Bucheon Pay users can qualify by accumulating consumption of 200,000 KRW or more from 0:00 on the 1st regardless of the recharge timing, and the 50,000 KRW support fund must be used within one month.

However, even if a user who recharged 200,000 KRW for the first time meets the usage requirements by spending 200,000 KRW or more within the project period after receiving the consumption support fund, no additional consumption support fund will be provided.

Meanwhile, from this month, the Gyeonggi local currency mobile simple payment service has also been officially launched.

Samsung Pay users can now easily use Bucheon Pay with just their mobile phones without the physical Bucheon Pay card. Once Bucheon Pay is registered on Samsung Pay, users can simply tap their phone on the card payment terminal for easy payment.

A Bucheon City official said, "If you recharge 200,000 KRW or more, you can receive up to 70,000 KRW including the 50,000 KRW consumption support fund and a 20,000 KRW incentive," adding, "We hope many citizens will benefit from the consumption support fund."
