Seocho District Council Elects Park Mihyo as Chair of the Budget and Accounts Committee

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Seocho District Council (Chairperson Kim Ansook) held the 1st plenary session of the 307th regular meeting on the 1st, forming a Special Committee on Budget and Settlement for the approval of the 2020 fiscal year settlement and supplementary budget expenditure. Park Mihyo was appointed as the chairperson of the Special Committee on Budget and Settlement, and Kim Sungjoo was appointed as the vice-chairperson. (photo)

The Special Committee on Budget and Settlement will consist of nine members including Jang Okjun, Lee Hyunsook, Oh Secheol, Park Jinam, Choi Wonjun, Kim Jungwoo, and Heo Eun.

Chairperson Park Mihyo entered the Seocho District Council in her early 30s and has been passionately and actively engaged in council activities to bring change to Seocho from the perspective of youth.

In particular, through her consistent interest in youth, she co-proposed the "Seocho District Youth Basic Ordinance," contributing to the improvement of the quality of life and the promotion of rights for youth residing in Seocho District.

Councilor Park Mihyo expressed her thoughts, saying, "I am grateful to my fellow councilors for entrusting me with the important role of chairperson of the Budget and Settlement Committee. The settlement review is to verify whether the precious taxpayers' money has been properly spent. Together with Vice-Chairperson Kim Sungjoo, I will carefully examine whether Seocho District’s finances have been managed soundly, and I will carry out the review to ensure even healthier financial management."
