Since value-for-money was the key point, most of the selected TVs were LCD models, but LG OLED TV was the only recommended OLED TV included.
According to the industry on the 6th, Consumer Reports recently conducted a comprehensive evaluation of large screen TVs 65 inches and above, and selected and recommended products with excellent value-for-money in categories such as ▲Best Performance Products ▲Affordable but Impressive TVs ▲Recommended TVs for Budget-Conscious Consumers ▲Large Screen Value-for-Money TVs over 70 inches.
In the 'Best Performance Products' category, LG OLED TV and Samsung QLED TV were selected. Consumer Reports explained, "Generally, OLED TVs are quite expensive products, but LG OLED TV has held the top spot in recent years due to its rich and deep black expression and infinite viewing angles. Considering its high-level HDR features and screen size, it can be regarded as reasonably priced, which is why it was included in the recommended list."
Regarding Samsung QLED TV, it was evaluated as having excellent overall picture quality, effective HDR performance, wider-than-average viewing angles for an LCD TV, and above-average sound quality.
Consumer Reports recommended products from various manufacturers such as Samsung Electronics, Hisense, TCL, and Vizio as 'Affordable but Impressive TVs.' For 'TVs for Budget-Conscious Consumers,' LG Ultra HD TV, Samsung Electronics Smart TVs, as well as Insignia, Hisense, and TCL products were included. For 'Large Screen Value-for-Money TVs over 70 inches,' three products from LG, Vizio, and TCL were selected.
Consumer Reports stated, "A few years ago, a 55-inch TV seemed quite large, but now 65-inch TVs are very popular and TV sizes are increasing. For consumers, prices have also risen accordingly, currently ranging from $2,000 to $3,000 or more," adding, "There are products that offer satisfactory picture quality and smart TV technology at prices below the average."
