The Startup Branch is a dedicated shared space for startups opened by KITA at COEX, Seoul, on June 4, 2019, to support the global scale-up of domestic startups. It is open free of charge to startups. In addition, while conducting various startup support programs, it also functions as a networking platform for open innovation between large and medium-sized domestic and international companies and participants in the startup ecosystem.

At the event held on the 4th, attendees included Lee Dong-gi, Head of the Innovation Growth Division at KITA; Lim Jung-wook, CEO of TBT Partners; Kim Young-duk, Director of D.CAMP; Noh Kyu-seung, Head of Startup Development Team at Hyundai Motor Group; and Ryu Jung-hee, CEO of FuturePlay. They discussed key issues and current challenges in the Korean and global startup ecosystems, the achievements of Korean startups on the world stage, strategies and implications for promoting open innovation, and roles in revitalizing the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
