The Korea Analysis and Testing Research Institute (KATR, CEO Kim Juhwan) recently announced that it has been providing more focused analytical services for anticancer and antibacterial testing, and that consulting and analysis for anticancer and anti-inflammatory products by companies or individuals are actively underway.
In 2018, KATR established a new analysis center for anticancer and anti-inflammatory items, enabling research on efficacy tests for anticancer and anti-inflammatory effects. Since then, it has been conducting validation tests and issuing reports on the effects of anticancer and anti-inflammatory agents.
The anti-inflammatory test items conducted at the Korea Cancer Analysis Center include cytotoxicity tests (MTT assay, WST-1 assay, CCK-8 assay), inflammation response tests measuring oxidative damage levels (NO assay, SOD-like activity), Real-Time PCR for measuring mRNA expression to confirm the expression of specific cytokines, and Western blot to verify protein expression.
Anticancer test items include cancer cell proliferation inhibition tests that treat drugs at 24-hour intervals to check for cancer cell growth, as well as Real-Time PCR and Western blot to confirm drug responses in cancer cells.
KATR stated, "We promise unwavering support to companies and individuals dedicated to developing anticancer and anti-inflammatory agents by providing research consulting to help develop highly effective products."
Anticancer and anti-inflammatory tests conducted at the Korea Cancer Analysis Center can be applied for through the Korea Analysis and Testing Research Institute (KATR) website. In addition to anticancer and antibacterial tests, KATR conducts tests such as microplastics, antibacterial, antifungal, microbial detection, antioxidant, skin irritation, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, cell tests, and animal alternative tests.
