1986 Production Hosts 'DaengDaeng Trekking' with Dog Trainer Kang Hyung-wook, the Nation's Trainer
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Dog trainer Kang Hyung-wook, known as the "Dog President," and 1986 Production are joining forces to host a trekking event where participants can hike with their dogs.
According to 1986 Production on the 4th, the ‘Dangdang Trekking 2021’ event, hosted by Kang Hyung-wook’s ‘Bodeum Company’ and Life is Fun ‘1986 Production,’ will take place on September 11-12.
Dangdang Trekking will be held on the Sky Road trekking course located in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, and the trekking course will be exclusively open to participants during the two days of the event. Participants can enjoy trekking with their dogs without worrying about others.
Participants can register their preferred time and then start the trek. The number of departures will be adjusted according to the COVID-19 situation.
There are two types of courses prepared. The ‘6K Hard Course’ has a steep incline requiring determination but offers magnificent scenery and a rewarding experience, while the ‘3K Easy Course’ has a gentle slope and is designed for dogs and owners with less stamina.
The distances are one-way, and participants can take a gondola ride on the way down. The gondola ticket, worth approximately 15,000 KRW, is included in the participation fee and can be used free of charge.
On September 11-12, participants can select their preferred time and course, receive items including a T-shirt at the trekking entrance, and enjoy the trek.
Upon completing the trek and arriving at the certification point, participants can receive reward items such as medals. The trekking course operates from 9 AM to 6 PM, with the last departure times at 3 PM for the 6K course and 4 PM for the 3K course.
In addition to trekking, various side programs will be held during the event.
These include Kang Hyung-wook’s ‘Q&A Seminar,’ ‘Danglympics’ where participants can warm up with their dogs, the ‘Dog Poop Exchange’ where dog waste can be exchanged for dog gifts, and a ‘Photo Time with Trainer Kang Hyung-wook,’ the leader of Dangdang Trekking. The operation dates for each program can be checked on the official website.
Dangdang Trekking ended early bird ticket sales on the 21st and has started selling general admission tickets. Discounted tickets include 2+1 tickets, tickets for people with disabilities, and student tickets, while preschool children can enter for free.
Accommodation tickets for High1 Resort, where participants can stay with their dogs, are being sold at the lowest prices since the resort’s opening, exclusively for Dangdang Trekking participants.
Yoon Myung-ho, CEO of 1986 Production, said, “Many dog owners want to trek with their dogs, but often cannot fully enjoy it due to concerns about disturbing others. We rented a trekking course exclusively for dogs so that people can enjoy it without hesitation. We hope everyone will create joyful memories with their dogs while breathing fresh air this fall.”
Meanwhile, participation tickets can be purchased through the official website.
