After the weekend, when the number of tests is lower, the cases tend to drop to the 100s and then rise again to the 200s in a repeating pattern. Of the new cases, 205 were domestic infections and 1 was imported.
In particular, new confirmed cases related to the Songpa-gu Garak Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market continue to emerge. The previous day, there were 9 new confirmed cases in Seoul alone, bringing the cumulative total to 82. Nationwide, the number of related confirmed cases reached 106, surpassing 100.
Additionally, 5 new confirmed cases were added related to a restaurant in Dongjak-gu, and 3 new cases were confirmed related to acquaintances' gatherings in the metropolitan area and a restaurant in Mapo-gu. Two new cases each were also reported related to a high school in Gangbuk-gu and a workplace in Jung-gu.
