청 NSC Meeting "Thorough Preparation to Ensure Smooth Transfer of US-Provided Vaccines"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Blue House announced that on the afternoon of the 3rd, a meeting of the NSC Standing Committee was held under the chairmanship of Suh Hoon, Director of the National Security Office.

Lee Ho-seung, Director of the Blue House Policy Office, also attended the meeting to discuss follow-up measures after the Korea-US summit.

The attendees reviewed the progress of follow-up measures to implement the agreements between the Korean and US leaders in various fields including security, economy, and health, and especially agreed to thoroughly prepare to ensure the smooth transfer and administration of COVID-19 vaccines provided by the US side within the framework of the Korea-US alliance.

They also reviewed recent trends in overseas risk areas and continuously sought ways to strengthen the safety and protection of Korean nationals, while checking diplomatic measures related to the domestic COVID-19 situation.
