"Forest Vacation Spot" Geumgangsong Ecorium Enhances 'Inner Healing' Content

'Selected as a Recommended Wellness Tourism Destination in 2021
June Booking Rate Increased by 60% Compared to Last Year
"Strengthening Content to Become a Representative Local Attraction"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] The stay-type forest recreation facility Geumgangsong Ecolium announced on the 3rd that it will strengthen and introduce 'inner healing' content that allows visitors to heal their inner selves along with forest vacations (forest + vacation). Noting that the booking rate as of June increased by 60% compared to the previous year after being selected as a 'Recommended Wellness Tourism Destination in 2021,' the facility plans to enhance wellness content and rise as a representative local tourist spot.

Located in Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, Geumgangsong Ecolium is a stay-type recreational facility where visitors can enjoy fresh air and relaxation in the Geumgangsong forest, the largest natural forest cluster in Korea, and heal their body and mind. Recently, it was newly selected as one of the final seven sites for the 'Recommended Wellness Tourism Destinations in 2021,' jointly promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization. Nearby famous tourist spots in Gyeongbuk, such as Deunggisang, known for its skywalk, and Jukbyeon Port, one of the largest ports on the East Sea, are also located close by, making it popular among long-term travelers visiting Uljin for tourism.

Geumgangsong Ecolium offers various 'inner healing' contents so that customers seeking healing in nature can simultaneously heal their inner selves. By participating in the 'Re;verse Stay' program, visitors can engage in forest trail trekking, yoga, and other activities according to a systematic schedule. Breakfast includes anchovy soup with rice, and dinner features mushroom dumpling hot pot. A 'Sangria Making' class is also provided.

On the 12th, to commemorate Global Wellness Day, a 'Cha-hun Meditation' program will be held, which allows simultaneous healing of body and mind. Cha-hun meditation is a meditation method that purifies the face and body by breathing in the steam from hot tea. The trekking course is also operated regularly. On a walking trail about one hour long, visitors can listen once a day to interesting explanations about Geumgangsong from a forest storyteller. Customers wishing to experience trekking can use the Geumgang Pine Forest Trail website to make reservations in advance.

Until July 15th, a '2-Person Long Stay Promotion' is offered for customers staying three nights or more. Depending on the check-in date, various healing programs, family exploration trail trekking, jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), and spa facilities are available. Time is also provided to visit nearby famous tourist attractions in Uljin such as Deunggisang Skywalk and Hupori Mural Village.
