Emart24 delivered personal items collected by its employees and donation products worth 20 million won to the 'Goodwill Store' operated by the Milal Welfare Foundation.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Emart24 announced on the 3rd that it conducted a Hope Sharing Campaign in which employees voluntarily participated in celebration of Environment Day, and donated the collected items to the 'Goodwill Store' operated by the Milal Welfare Foundation.
Emart24 prepared donation products worth about 20 million KRW, including ramen, beverages, and snacks, at the headquarters level along with personal items collected by employees. Employees actively participated in the campaign by bringing about 1,000 items such as clothing, small home appliances, toys, and books directly from their homes to the headquarters. The donated items will be sold through the Goodwill Store, and the sales proceeds will be used to create jobs for people with developmental disabilities and to promote welfare for the disabled.
Emart24 plans to continue the employee item-sharing activity, judging that it has various positive effects such as reducing resource waste and contributing to the promotion of welfare for the disabled, rather than being a one-time event.
An Emart24 official said, "We planned the Hope Sharing Campaign so that employees could easily participate and contribute to eco-friendly activities in celebration of Environment Day," adding, "We will continue to practice ESG management through various social contribution and mutual growth activities."
