CJ CheilJedang conducted the ‘Dasida, Dasiboda Recipe Challenge’ from Wednesday, May 5 to Wednesday, May 19. This challenge was held in line with the ‘home-cooked meal’ trend during the COVID-19 era, inspired by the increasing proportion of home dining since 2020 and the growing concerns among housewives about home meal menus. With fewer dining-out occasions and hesitation to order delivery due to guilt over disposable products, home-cooked meals have become the best alternative.
The ‘Dasida, Dasiboda Recipe Challenge’ was an event certifying various home meal recipes using the new products Dasida Aged Hanwoo and Anchovy Dried Pollack. The official Dasida Instagram recruited product testers, exceeding the recruitment target of 500 participants within just one week, successfully closing the recruitment. The challenge also provided a recipe book featuring Dasida Premium Gold Aged Hanwoo and Anchovy Dried Pollack to help solve concerns about home meal menus.
The challenge’s catchphrase, ‘Dasida, Dasiboda,’ implies that the premium ingredients in the new products, Aged Hanwoo and Anchovy Dried Pollack, complete the taste of dishes to the extent that you want to taste them again. The new product ‘Dasida Premium Gold’ uses aged Hanwoo and dried pollack, which have recently become popular among housewives, making it highly versatile for rich and deep-flavored dishes.
‘Dasida Premium Gold Aged Hanwoo’ uses aged Hanwoo and Korean beef bone broth as raw materials, allowing consumers to enjoy a deeper and richer taste than existing products. ‘Dasida Premium Gold Anchovy Dried Pollack’ features a refreshing and clean taste by optimally blending domestic anchovies and dried pollack.
Instagrammer Lemon J, who participated in the challenge, said, “Even before the challenge, I have always used Dasida as an essential ingredient in various dishes,” adding, “The new product ‘Dasida Premium Gold’ offers a richer umami flavor than the existing Dasida and Dasida Premium Gold.” She emphasized, “Especially when used in broth dishes, the depth of flavor is on a different level,” and noted, “The fact that it is portioned into 5g sticks makes it convenient and hygienic to use, which is also a strong point.”
Instagrammer Lemon J, who participated in the challenge with three menus?pasta, seafood sujebi (hand-pulled dough soup), and spicy stir-fried pork?recalled that the pasta made using Dasida was the most delicious among the dishes she prepared, stating, “With just one stick of Dasida Premium Gold Aged Hanwoo, I was able to complete a simple and tasty meal without using store-bought sauce.”
Through this challenge, various recipes were shared that used Dasida not only in broth dishes such as kimchi jjigae, doenjang jjigae, and fish cake soup but also in side dishes like pasta and seasoned vegetables. As a result, more than 800 recipes tagged with #Dasida_Dasiboda were created, and the challenge was praised for alleviating consumers’ concerns about home-cooked meals.
