[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The European price of the ‘Galaxy A22,’ expected to be Samsung Electronics' most affordable 5G smartphone, has been leaked.
On the 27th (local time), IT specialist media SamMobile reported that a Finnish retailer listed the Galaxy A22 at 185 euros (approximately 250,000 KRW) excluding value-added tax (VAT). With taxes added, the price is expected to be around 220 to 230 euros (approximately 300,000 to 310,000 KRW).
In South Korea, LG Uplus is reportedly set to exclusively launch the Galaxy A22 in August, and this price disclosure is likely to serve as an indicator for the domestic launch price. SamMobile commented, “Although there is still debate about 5G-supported smartphones, a price under 250 euros is definitely an attractive factor.”
The Galaxy A22’s biggest features include the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and a 5000mAh battery capacity, while other specifications are not expected to stand out significantly. The display will be a 6.4-inch FHD+ LCD, and the rear will feature a triple camera setup. The cameras are expected to consist of a 48-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel camera, and a 2-megapixel camera.
Additionally, it is expected to be released in at least four colors: Black, Light Green, Purple, and White. It supports 15W fast charging and weighs 205g.
