Gwanak-gu Publishes and Distributes 'Housing Rental Business Guide'

Guidelines for Housing Lease Compliance to Minimize Disadvantages Distributed to Over 4,500 People... Includes Obligations for Lease Operators, Key Tax Benefits, and Frequently Asked Questions

Gwanak-gu Publishes and Distributes 'Housing Rental Business Guide'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) has published the "Housing Rental Business Operator Guide" to help rental business operators understand their mandatory obligations for housing rental registration.

"Rental business operators" refer to those who are not public housing providers but have acquired and rent out one or more private rental housing units for business purposes, registered under Article 5 of the Special Act on Private Rental Housing. Rental business operators have public obligations and tax benefits.

Recently, as cases of rental business operators receiving fines due to lack of proper understanding of their obligations have increased, the district has completed mailing the guidebook to about 4,500 housing rental business operators in the area.

Additionally, the guidebook will be distributed to visitors registering as new rental business operators at the district office to actively promote awareness and prevent future administrative disadvantages.

The newly produced guidebook includes essential information that rental business operators must know, such as ▲ rental business registration procedures ▲ main obligations and tax benefits ▲ matters related to fines for violations of rental business operator obligations.

In particular, frequently asked questions by rental business operators to the district office are organized by case to facilitate understanding.

For further inquiries related to the housing rental business, contact the Housing Division of Gwanak-gu Office.

Mayor Park Jun-hee stated, "By providing information through the Housing Rental Business Operator Guide to help rental business operators fulfill their main obligations according to relevant laws, we aim to establish a sound rental business culture, which will also contribute to enhancing tenants' housing stability."
