[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samyuk University has established an international volunteer organization called the 'Rotaract Club,' primarily composed of university students.
On the 27th, Samyuk University held the founding ceremony of the 'Rotaract Club' in the president's office. Rotaract is a youth volunteer organization supported by Rotary International, the world's largest private volunteer organization. In Korea, about 230 clubs with over 8,000 members are active, mainly at universities.
The Samyuk University Rotaract Club, supported by Rotary International District 3650, will carry out various social contribution activities for the local community. Members will receive leadership training, participate in various international events as part of the international Rotaract Club, and be eligible for scholarship benefits.
President Kim Ilmok stated, "For 115 years since its founding, Samyuk University has nurtured talents needed by our society based on Christian values, embodying the ideal of 'servants of truth and love.' We will actively support students to grow as leaders who serve through Rotaract activities."
