[2021 Apartment Brand Awards] HDC Hyundai Development Company, Lighting, Heating, Gas... 'IoT Advanced Technology' OK with Just One Phone


[Asia Economy Reporter Tae-min Ryu] This year, HDC Hyundai Development Company's 'IPARK,' which was selected as the Grand Prize winner in the Smart Home category at the Asia Economy Apartment Brand Awards, is transforming residents' daily lives by utilizing advanced IT systems. It is highly regarded for integrating cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) into living spaces to enhance residents' convenience.


HDC Hyundai Development Company's smart home system, 'HDC IoT,' is a home network control system that manages lighting, heating, gas, fire detection, and more through a smartphone application. Additionally, it connects to and controls appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, robot vacuum cleaners, and air purifiers. Residents can conveniently check parking locations and adjust lighting and heating remotely via their smartphones.

HDC Hyundai Development Company's smart home system is fully incorporated into the 'Cheongju Gagyeong IPARK Complex 4,' which will be launched in June in the 320 area of Gagyeong-dong, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. This complex consists of two buildings ranging from two basement floors to 27 above-ground floors, with a total of 201 households. It is composed solely of 84㎡ (exclusive area) units, with 175 households of Type A and 26 households of Type B.


The Gagyeong-dong area where the complex is located boasts convenient transportation. Cheongju Express Bus Terminal and Cheongju Intercity Bus Terminal are within walking distance, and public transportation such as KTX Osong Station is easily accessible. By car, residents can quickly reach downtown and outskirts of Cheongju via the 2nd and 3rd Ring Roads, Seocheongju IC on the Jungbu Expressway, and Cheongju IC on the Gyeongbu Expressway. The Cheongju Heungdeok Hi-Pass exclusive IC, connected to the Jungbu Expressway, is planned, which will further facilitate highway access in the future.
