[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Hansung Cleantec, a subsidiary of EN Corporation, continues to secure orders related to Samsung Electronics semiconductors.
Hansung Cleantec announced on the 27th that it signed a contract worth 11.4 billion KRW with Samsung Engineering for the Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek P3 Green Building utility project. The P3 Green Building is a wastewater treatment facility related to the P3 plant.
On the 20th, Hansung Cleantec received a work order from Samsung C&T Corporation worth 26.5 billion KRW for the Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek P3 EUV Building PCW&GAS (Process Cooling Water & GAS) and HVAC (heating, ventilation, & air conditioning) DUCT equipment installation.
They succeeded in securing two semiconductor-related construction projects for Samsung. The total order amount is 37.9 billion KRW, which accounts for 34% of Hansung Cleantec's annual sales last year.
Hansung Cleantec is a water treatment EPC specialist company that provides one-stop services for the design (Engineering), procurement (Procurement), and construction (Construction) of water treatment facilities such as ultrapure water (industrial water) and wastewater, which are essential for semiconductor and display processes. Recently, their new business expanding into PCW and GAS piping HVAC facilities in the environmental construction sector has led to successful order achievements.
A Hansung Cleantec official stated, "Due to the nature of the construction, we expect additional orders in the future," and added, "We anticipate that the combined order achievements of the water treatment EPC business and the new business will continue through the second half of the year."
EN Corporation acquired 100% of Hansung Cleantec's shares in March this year. Hansung Cleantec's performance is expected to be reflected in the consolidated results from the second quarter, increasing the possibility of improved performance for EN Corporation.
