[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Electronics' flagship product, organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV, has significantly expanded customer choices this year with 18 models across 6 lineups. In particular, the number of ultra-large models over 70 inches increased from 7 last year to 11 this year based on models released in Korea.

The G series, also known as the LG OLED Gallery TV, features next-generation OLED panels. The A series, a budget-friendly lineup with lowered prices, is expected to be sequentially released domestically as early as the second quarter. In addition, there are the budget B series, the C series which added the largest 83-inch model among 4K resolution OLED TVs, the world's first 8K resolution OLED TV Z series, and the rollable TV R series with a screen that rolls up and unfolds.

LG OLED TVs aim for the 4S: ▲Sharp (clarity created by precise blacks) ▲Speedy (fast response time and high immersion) ▲Smooth (smooth screen expression) ▲Slim (lifestyle-leading design).

Maintaining excellent picture quality while being easy on the eyes is also a unique advantage of OLED. The panels have received 'Low Blue Light' verification and 'Flicker-Free' certification from global testing and certification bodies TUV Rheinland and UL, respectively, and have been certified as 'Eye-Safe TV' by the eye health certification organization 'i-SAFE,' reducing blue light emission to the industry's lowest level.

Following OLED TVs, LG Electronics plans to sequentially launch premium LCD TVs in the global market, including the LG QNED MiniLED featuring proprietary color reproduction technology 'Quantum Dot NanoCell Color Technology' and MiniLED, as well as LG NanoCell TVs.
