IHQ Incorporated as Subsidiary of PiPop and Megaphone Entertainment

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Global comprehensive media company IHQ is embarking on discovering and nurturing new artists suitable for global content by acquiring PPOP Co., Ltd. and Megaphone Entertainment Co., Ltd.

On the 24th, IHQ announced, "We have acquired PPOP and Megaphone Entertainment and incorporated them as subsidiaries."

PPOP is a platform that produces high-quality sound sources at affordable prices for the general public, including amateur musicians, and publishes and distributes them. With its incorporation as a subsidiary of IHQ, it plans to expand its business from discovering singers to entertainment management and planning broadcasting content such as audition programs.

Megaphone Entertainment operates Megaphone Korea, a non-face-to-face online audition platform, and provides a matching service between production companies and actors by introducing big data analysis based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. It also runs online acting classes that can be taken comfortably from any location. By incorporating Megaphone Entertainment as a subsidiary, IHQ is establishing a customized talent casting foundation in the entertainment field using AI and plans to actively utilize it in management and drama production fields.

IHQ owns various channels including IHQ, which is set to launch in July, as well as Dramax, K STAR, CubeTV, and Sandbox Plus. It also has sidusHQ as its entertainment division, which houses famous artists such as Um Ki-joon, Jang Hyuk, and Oh Yeon-seo. Above all, the collaboration of sidusHQ, known as the "house of actor development," Megaphone Entertainment, the "non-face-to-face online audition platform," and PPOP, the "online sound source production platform," is expected to create synergy effects in the management business sector.
