- Conan Technology Establishes AI Testing Benchmarks and Builds Quality Management System
[Conan Technology has been selected as an executing company for the '2021 Software Engineering Technology Capability Enhancement Support Project' this month.]
Konan Technology, an artificial intelligence software specialist company led by CEO Kim Young-seom, has been finally selected this month as the performing company for the ‘2021 SW Engineering Technology Capability Enhancement Support Project’ announced by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
Recently, the domestic IT industry has been actively launching AI software and services not only for general consumers but also for enterprise AI platforms. However, there is still no standardized AI testing process, and AI testing methodologies have not been clearly established, causing difficulties in measuring quality indicators and managing quality during AI product development in the field. To address these issues, the national project ‘2021 SW Engineering Technology Capability Enhancement Support Project’ was initiated.
As a result, Konan Technology, which has accumulated technology and know-how in the AI software field, was finally selected as the performing company. The goal is to establish a systematic process and standards for improving AI quality. In particular, the introduction of the international standard ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119-11 AI-based testing guidelines and the advancement of related tool chains will be given significant attention. Through this, clear measurement indicators and criteria that can accurately represent the performance and quality of artificial intelligence will be prepared, which is expected to contribute to the improvement of quality and reliability of AI products in the future.
The support project period runs from the 1st of this month until November next year. To enhance credibility, a consortium was formed with STA Testing Consulting, which has obtained KOLAS international accreditation as a testing institution in the software field.
Yang Woo-young, Quality Management Team Leader at Konan Technology, expressed his determination, saying, "Through this project, we hope to increase customer satisfaction with AI software and secure best practices, thereby leading the revitalization of domestic AI software engineering."
Meanwhile, since its establishment in 1999, Konan Technology is an AI software research and development specialist company with flagship products such as the intelligent search engine “Konan Search,” the intelligent big data analysis engine “Konan Analytics,” and the conversational agent system “Konan Bot.” Its software quality and configuration management technologies are also outstanding, and last December, it was selected as an ‘Excellent Case of 2020 SP Certification’ company by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.
