- Healing Life Enjoyed at Cheonan's 12 Scenic Spots, Dandae Lake Park and Taejosan
- Medium to Large Apartments with Healing Communities like Pet Friends Park and Merry Kids Ground
As soon as you step out of the house, you can see the peacefully flowing Cheonancheon Stream. Along Cheonancheon lies Dosol Square, which opens up refreshingly. Behind it stands the imposing Taejosan Mountain. This is a traditional auspicious site known as ‘Baesanimsu,’ meaning ‘backing the mountain and facing the water.’ This is the location of Hanwha Construction’s ‘Hanwha Forena Cheonan Sinbu.’
Recently, ‘Hanwha Forena Cheonan Sinbu’ has been gaining attention as a healing complex due to its nature-friendly location, Hanwha Construction’s unique specialized community facilities, and the increased preference for medium-to-large sized units influenced by COVID-19. Here, we take a closer look at the three healing points of ‘Hanwha Forena Cheonan Sinbu.’
Healing Point 1. Lake Park and Taejosan Mountain
In March, Zigbang conducted a survey among application users on ‘the most important location and external structural factors when choosing housing space after COVID-19.’ About 32% of all respondents chose ‘comfort - proximity to parks and forests,’ ranking first. This response rate is more than twice that of convenience in public transportation or roads (13%).
Having a large park or mountain near home allows residents to enjoy clean air and nature, providing a pleasant living environment. Additionally, facilities such as walking trails and exercise equipment within the park can be conveniently used. ‘Hanwha Forena Cheonan Sinbu’ is close to Cheonhoji Lake and Taejosan Mountain, both famous healing spots in Cheonan.
The song ‘Kkotsong-i-ga’ by singer Busker Busker includes the lyrics ‘Let’s walk around Dandae Lake.’ The background of these lyrics is Cheonan’s Cheonhoji Lake, located right in front of Dankook University Cheonan Campus and also known as ‘Dandae Lake.’ This place is one of the 12 scenic spots of Cheonan and is famous for its beauty, with a saying that ‘walking around Dandae Lake makes you a couple.’
Cheonhoji Lake, completed in 1957, was developed into a sports park in 2009. It is a scenic spot loved year-round by Cheonan citizens. Cherry trees line the lake, and walking along the trails beneath them allows visitors to enjoy cherry blossoms without attending the famous cherry blossom festival. There are also simple exercise facilities here, making it easy to spot residents enjoying exercise and relaxation. Visitors can also enjoy the cherry blossoms and feel the youthful energy of university students while touring the nearby campus.
Behind the complex stands Taejosan Mountain, about 421 meters high. It is said to be named after King Taejo of Goryeo, who once stayed here. Taejosan offers hiking courses suitable for families, allowing residents to enjoy a healing life in a nature-friendly space. The scenic views along the valley are very beautiful, making it a popular resting place for Cheonan citizens.
Additionally, ‘Hanwha Forena Cheonan Sinbu’ has a planned children’s park right next to the complex, and Dosol Square, equipped with various facilities such as a Cheonancheon Stream walking trail, outdoor performance hall, artificial rock climbing wall, and a dog playground, is also nearby.
Healing Point 2. Healing Community
A community space befitting the image of a healing complex is also being created. First, within the complex, a ‘Pet Friends Park’ will be established, reflecting the recent residential trend of increasing pet ownership. ‘Pet Friends Park’ is a pet-exclusive playground within the complex, designed to allow residents to enjoy a healing life with their pets.
Also, a ‘Merry Kids Ground’ will be installed for the residents’ children. ‘Merry Kids Ground’ is a creative play area featuring uneven mounding and various play facilities such as slides, making it a great place for children to play. Children are expected to develop creativity through new types of play here.
In addition, a school station for children’s commuting and fitness facilities for residents’ health will be installed, along with Casa Park, a community plaza, and a children’s playground.
Healing Point 3. Medium-to-Large Sized Apartments
The third healing point of ‘Hanwha Forena Cheonan Sinbu’ is that it offers medium-to-large sized apartments. As the COVID-19 pandemic has prolonged, the time spent at home has increased, making medium-to-large apartments with spacious areas per person and various activity spaces a popular trend.
Moreover, ‘Hanwha Forena Cheonan Sinbu’ is designed with a slab-type structure that maximizes natural lighting and ventilation. It also features a kitchen pantry and a large dressing room, providing ample and comfortable space. Additionally, cutting-edge systems such as a smart one-pass system and security systems enhance residential convenience.
In fact, Mr. Kim, a resident of Cheonan, said, “As COVID-19 prolonged, the time spent at home increased, and after discussing with my family, we recently moved to a large-sized apartment. The space is much larger than our previous home, allowing for various uses, and the surrounding infrastructure such as parks is excellent, so we are living a satisfying life.”
Furthermore, since apartment supply in Cheonan has mainly focused on small-to-medium sizes, the rarity value of medium-to-large apartments is increasing, and high interest from prospective buyers is expected.
Meanwhile, ‘Hanwha Forena Cheonan Sinbu,’ supplied by Hanwha Construction in the Cheonan area of Chungnam Province, is scheduled for sale in May. The complex consists of six buildings, ranging from two basement floors to 29 floors above ground, with exclusive areas of 76 to 159 square meters, totaling 602 households. The model house will open in Cheonan City. Move-in is scheduled for December 2023.
