On the 20th, Kang Min-guk, the floor spokesperson for the People Power Party, said, "The government and ruling party's confusion over real estate policies is only fueling greater chaos among the public and the market," adding, "With the Democratic Party leader, floor leader, supreme council members, and the real estate special committee members each issuing different statements day after day, it is impossible to know whose words to trust."
Regarding Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum's remark that "The rise in house prices can only be considered unearned income. Shouldn't it be returned to society in some form?" Kang also criticized it as "a statement detached from public sentiment."
He pointed out, "Over the past four years, house prices have risen significantly nationwide, including Seoul and the metropolitan area," and asked, "Did the people raise the house prices? Isn't it because of the current government, which has issued 25 failed real estate measures while neglecting supply policies? Now, to talk about unearned income is 'avoiding responsibility' and 'evading public sentiment.'"
Kang Min-guk said, "The public's anger toward the hesitant government and ruling party's real estate policies is sky-high," and criticized, "They are creating adjustment plans claiming to correct the failed real estate policies, but instead are only increasing public distrust." He added, "The government and ruling party should listen to the angry public sentiment."
