Chef Son Jongwon at Nonhyeon Showroom, Participants Make Chateaubriand at Home
Using Video Chat Service for Real-Time Communication on Recipes and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LG Electronics conducted an online cooking class using its ultra-premium built-in brand, 'Signature Kitchen Suite.'
LG Electronics organized this event to offer a unique enjoyment of making famous local dishes at home, as overseas travel remains difficult due to COVID-19.
The event, held under the theme 'Gourmet Journey,' featured French cuisine. It took place on the 18th at the Signature Kitchen Suite Nonhyeon Showroom located in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Chef Son Jongwon of Lamang Secret, selected by this year's Michelin Guide, TVXQ member Choi Kangchangmin, and announcer Lee Hyesung participated.
Chef Son Jongwon showcased Chateaubriand, a premium French filet mignon steak dish, using Signature Kitchen Suite products such as the electric range, electric oven, ice water purifier refrigerator, and wine cellar.
Participants used Signature Kitchen Suite meal kits, which included ingredients, aprons, and wine provided by LG Electronics in advance, to cook along at home through the online class. Using video chat services, they exchanged recipes and cooking tips in real time, receiving enthusiastic responses from participants.
This menu will also be offered as a special item throughout June at the brunch cafe on the first floor of the Signature Kitchen Suite Cheongdam Showroom. The event video will be released at noon on the 19th on the official Signature Kitchen Suite YouTube channel.
Yoon Kyungseok, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics Kitchen Appliances Division, said, "We will carry out various marketing activities to effectively communicate with customers in line with lifestyle changes and to allow them to experience the differentiated value offered by Signature Kitchen Suite."
