Samsung Electronics Service 'Samsung Care Plus Talent Donation'... Nationwide Home Appliance Cleaning and Inspection Volunteer Service

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Samsung Electronics Service announced on the 19th that it will conduct volunteer activities utilizing the specialized product inspection skills of its employees in nine regions nationwide, including Seoul, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Busan.

Since 2006, Samsung Electronics Service has designated a 'Talent Sharing Volunteer Day' and has carried out various sharing activities that leverage employees' talents, such as free inspections of home appliances at nonprofit welfare facilities.

This year, to mark the '16th Talent Sharing Volunteer Day,' from the 14th to the 28th, Samsung Electronics Service will conduct talent donation activities using 'Samsung Care Plus,' a customized home appliance management service.

Samsung Care Plus is a service where Care Masters, engineers dedicated to Samsung Electronics home appliances, sterilize and clean products using specialized equipment and perform regular inspections on products requiring continuous management, such as air purifiers. It offers a one-stop service for product performance checks, repairs, and care that customers can trust.

This year’s talent donation involves Care Master employees directly participating to thoroughly sterilize and clean about 40 appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, and air purifiers used in welfare centers for the disabled and childcare facilities, using high-pressure washers and UV sterilizers. They also provide free inspections and repairs for dryers, TVs, and teach proper product usage.

Ann Eun-kyung, director of the Hwamaesil Disabled Welfare Center in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, said, "Samsung Electronics Service employees cleaned air conditioners, washing machines, and air purifiers thoroughly, enabling the disabled and local residents using the welfare center to spend a healthy and comfortable summer." She added, "We sincerely thank the Samsung Electronics Service employees who visit every year without fail, offering warm kindness and love."

Samsung Electronics Service will donate a total of about 50 home appliances, including Samsung Electronics Bespoke air conditioners, TVs, dishwashers, and fans, and will also provide economic support such as wallpapering, flooring, and daily necessities sponsorship so that disabled people and children using the facilities can welcome summer in a more comfortable environment.

Kim Jeong-hoon, General Manager of the Samsung Electronics Service Win-Win Team, said, "Through voluntary participation of employees, we were able to carry out our company's unique talent donation activities of cleaning and inspecting electronic products." He added, "We will actively conduct social contribution activities linked with nationwide service sites and local communities in the future."
