[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] A woman in her 30s gave birth to a baby in the restroom of a restaurant in Incheon and was transported to a hospital with the help of 119 paramedics who arrived at the scene.

According to the Namdong Fire Station in Incheon on the 18th, a citizen reported at 12:38 PM on the 17th that "my water broke, please help" at a restaurant in Namdong-gu, Incheon.

When the paramedics arrived at the scene, the pregnant woman, Ms. A (30), had just given birth to a baby boy in the restroom.

The baby was not crying initially but started crying and breathing after the paramedics stimulated his body.

The paramedics provided emergency care and quickly transported the mother and baby to a nearby hospital. Both mother and child are reported to be in good health.

Ms. A's due date was June 2, and it is known that this was not her first childbirth. She had gone out to eat with her family when she gave birth.

A fire official stated, "Ms. A experienced contractions around 9 AM that day and received medical treatment at a hospital, but since there were about fifteen days left until her due date, she was diagnosed with Braxton Hicks contractions and then went to the restaurant."
