(Iruda Co., Ltd., Selected as a National Representative Innovative Company)

Iruda Co., Ltd. (CEO Hyung-sik Kim) announced that it has been selected as a ‘National Representative Innovative Company’ that will represent South Korea and lead growth.

The core of the ‘National Representative Innovative Company’ project hosted by the Financial Services Commission includes various financial supports such as exemption from loan limit application, expansion of operating fund limits within the maximum guarantee limits (KRW 15 billion from Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and KRW 10 billion from Korea Technology Finance Corporation), and interest rate reductions. This large-scale project has supported a total of KRW 1.7983 trillion to companies with funding needs among those previously selected.

The ‘National Representative Innovative Company’ project is an initiative by the Financial Services Commission in collaboration with related ministries such as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to select representative companies that will lead future innovation. Since 2020, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, which has designated representative innovative companies, has selected a total of 57 companies across the energy, environmental sustainability, and information and communication sectors of innovative growth industries.

Iruda Co., Ltd. was highly evaluated for the technological distinctiveness and expertise of its flagship services ‘Immersive Media’ and ‘VR/AR,’ its alignment with trends, and its global competitiveness. In particular, it has received favorable reviews for realizing the Hanbit Tower, a landmark of Daejeon’s Expo Park, through immersive media, and it has been recognized as a company leading big trends such as the non-face-to-face platform creation business, which saw explosive demand due to COVID-19, and the metaverse.

Additionally, in December 2020, Iruda achieved a remarkable feat by winning first place (a KRW 2.5 billion project) in the finals of KT’s ‘Immersive Virtual Reality (VR) Service’ contest, the first phase of the ‘Big-Star Solver Platform’ hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, with its ‘Immersive Travel Content Utilizing 3D Geographic Information System (GIS),’ overcoming fierce competition and establishing itself as a leading startup company.

Iruda, a comprehensive content media group and a promising SME in Daejeon, is in its seventh year since establishment this year. It possesses a wide spectrum based on planning/design and video production for both online and offline promotion, and continues to grow as a comprehensive content media group with nationwide competitiveness.
