Audio content production and distribution specialist Audion (CEO Kim Yong-ho) and Seodaemun-gu Lee Jin-ah Memorial Library (Director Song Jae-sul) announced on the 18th that they have signed a business agreement to launch the audiobook service ‘Euneunhan Buksori’.
‘Euneunhan Buksori’ is a customized audiobook tablet application service designed for the silver generation residing in Seodaemun-gu. It was developed based on the need for audiobooks that are easier and more convenient to use for elderly people who find reading paper books uncomfortable and have difficulty handling smart devices.
Audion developed the customized tablet app ‘Euneunhan Buksori’ tailored to the characteristics and needs of seniors, providing audiobooks in popular categories for this age group such as historical dramas, health, and literature (poetry). Seodaemun-gu Library supports the tablet rental service equipped with ‘Euneunhan Buksori’ and plans to offer tablet PC usage education for seniors.
Song Jae-sul, director of Seodaemun-gu Library, said, “Through the ‘Euneunhan Buksori’ project, we hope seniors can experience easier and more convenient ‘reading by listening.’ We will continue to collaborate with specialized companies in various fields, including Audion, to continuously discover service models and improve services by collecting related feedback.”
Kim Yong-ho, CEO of Audion, stated, “Based on Audion’s experience and know-how of producing and distributing over 12,000 audiobooks for more than 10 years, we will actively develop customized services specialized by age group and strive to expand the audiobook market.”
Meanwhile, Audion, a Naver subsidiary equipped with a one-stop audiobook production and distribution system, partners with about 700 publishers to consistently produce and distribute around 100 new titles every month. It supplies content to a total of 600 companies and organizations, including public libraries, corporations, universities, government agencies, and special institutions, and has approximately 860,000 accumulated members.
