[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] Seoul Gas continues to show strong performance.
As of 10:11 AM on the 18th, Seoul Gas is trading at 135,500 KRW, up 27,500 KRW (25.46%) from the previous day on the KOSPI market.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 14th, the total dividends paid by companies listed on the KOSPI market last year amounted to 33.1638 trillion KRW, an increase of 60.3% compared to the previous year.
Among them, based on the 2020 disclosure, the company with the highest dividend was Seoul Gas, which paid 16,750 KRW per share.
Seoul Gas was established in 1983 and listed its shares on the KOSPI market in 1995. Korea Gas Corporation imports all LNG through LNG carriers from Indonesia and other locations, supplying large-scale consumers such as power plants and district heating corporations, as well as city gas companies including Seoul Gas. Seoul Gas then supplies gas to general consumers through pipelines.
