Artist Kwon Hana, Graduate of ArtCenter in the US, Holds First Solo Exhibition in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Artist Kwon Hana, a graduate of the ArtCenter College of Design in the United States, announced on the 18th that she will hold an exhibition of her works at the UNC Gallery in Apgujeong-dong from the 20th of this month until the 10th of next month.


Under the theme "Self Control," a total of 40 works, including oil paintings and illustrations expressing the artist's honest inner emotions, will be unveiled at this exhibition.

Artist Kwon is the granddaughter of the late Kwon Ok-yeon, a giant of Korean contemporary art, and the late Lee Byung-bok, former representative of the theater troupe Jayu and a matriarch of the domestic theater scene. After majoring in illustration design at the prestigious American design school ArtCenter in 2014, she returned to Korea and has been actively creating works.


Kwon said, "Even during difficult times after returning from the United States, I have continued to work steadily," adding, "I am happy to be able to share works that contain all my honest stories."
