Han Dong-ju, President of Seoul City Pharmacists Association, Attends At the opening ceremony of the 'Seoul International Garden Expo' held on the 14th at Son Ki-jeong Sports Park in Jung-gu, Seoul, Mayor Oh Se-hoon is delivering a congratulatory speech. The expo, held under the theme "Link Garden, Think Life," will be held until the 20th, dispersed across the park, Malli-dong Plaza, and the Jungnim-dong area. A total of 58 gardens created by artists from seven countries including the Netherlands, the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, Colombia, France, and Korea participate to comfort citizens weary from COVID-19. [Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the afternoon of the 17th, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon held a meeting with the Seoul Metropolitan Pharmaceutical Association at the Seoul City Hall Planning Situation Room to listen to voices from the field.


The meeting was attended by a total of 13 people, including Han Dong-ju, president of the Seoul Metropolitan Pharmaceutical Association, vice presidents, general directors, and heads of district pharmaceutical associations. The meeting was arranged at the request of the Seoul Metropolitan Pharmaceutical Association. Earlier, Mayor Oh had communicated with the Seoul Metropolitan Pharmaceutical Association during a meeting in March while he was a candidate.


After the meeting with the Seoul Metropolitan Pharmaceutical Association, Mayor Oh visited Venerable Wonhaeng, the Chief Executive of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, at the Jogye Order General Office reception room. This is his first visit to a religious organization since taking office.


A Seoul city official explained, "Mayor Oh plans to discuss cooperation in city administration and express gratitude to the Buddhist community for their active cooperation in quarantine efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19," adding, "Ahead of Buddha’s Birthday, he plans to request continued cooperation in quarantine measures."
