Launch of the 2nd Committee Raises Expectations for Fund Management Revitalization

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Professor Emeritus Kwak Sugeun of Seoul National University has been appointed as the new chairman of the Rural-Urban Win-Win Fund Management Committee.
The Rural-Urban Win-Win Fund Management Committee announced on the 16th that at the 20th committee meeting held on the 14th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Seoul, it passed a resolution to appoint Professor Emeritus Kwak as the 2nd chairman.
Chairman Kwak participated as an inaugural member when the Win-Win Growth Committee was launched in 2010. He is recognized as a figure with a clear belief in win-win growth and cooperative partnerships.
Additionally, he currently serves as a board member of the International Accounting Standards Foundation, chairman of the Financial Intelligence Unit's Anti-Money Laundering Policy Advisory Committee under the Financial Services Commission, and is expected to greatly contribute to the establishment and operation of the Rural-Urban Win-Win Fund, the committee explained.
Chairman Kwak stated, "Drawing on my experience seeking win-win growth among companies at the Win-Win Growth Committee, I will look for ways for companies, rural and urban residents, and farmers to grow together."
Meanwhile, the 16-member committee will welcome new members including Chairman Kwak, Won Younghee, president of the Korea Consumer Organization Council, and Kim Sejong, director of the Innobiz Policy Research Institute. The committee added that existing members will continue their activities through reappointment.
