[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 16th that it signed a business agreement on the 14th at the Korea Habitat conference room to support mobile housing for improving youth housing welfare.
This agreement mainly involves cooperation between Gyeongbuk Province and Korea Habitat, a leading domestic non-profit organization related to housing, to provide customized mobile wooden houses for young people who do not have proper housing space.
The Hope Mobile Youth Housing Project identifies the demand from 23 cities and counties in the Gyeongbuk area and installs the houses near living infrastructure and employment/startup facilities. It is conducted as a free rental method allowing resident youth to freely live, including interior design according to their preferences. The supply quantity for this year is five units.
Lee Gwang-hoe, Secretary General of Korea Habitat, said, "Since supporting mobile housing for rebuilding homes after the 2019 wildfire damage in Goseong, Gangwon-do, we have been continuously expanding the project," adding, "We will strive to contribute more to solving youth housing issues in Gyeongbuk through this agreement."
Governor Lee Cheol-woo emphasized, "I hope the Hope Mobile Youth Housing Support Project will be the first step in resolving youth housing problems, and we will work hard to empower young people through customized youth policies such as jobs, culture, and welfare."
