[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] The Korea Rail Network Authority announced on the 15th that it held a win-win growth meeting with representatives of construction companies in the railway construction civil engineering sector on the 13th to establish a construction culture of safety, integrity, and communication.

This meeting was arranged to communicate with representatives of construction companies following the meetings held twice in April with service providers in the civil engineering sector and the Construction Association.

On the day, Director Kim Hanyoung of the Authority formed a consensus on the Authority’s top priority management policy of safety and urged all workers at railway sites to consider themselves as family members and to implement thorough safety management to participate in achieving ZERO industrial accidents.

Director Kim and the representatives of construction companies signed a 'Fair Competition Agreement' to establish a fair and transparent evaluation system. They also pledged to do their best to manage railway construction sites to enable early execution of the first half budget and job creation to revitalize the economy, which has been contracted due to COVID-19.

Director Kim said, “We will focus on technological capabilities while building a transparent and fair contract system considering mutual growth, and strive to create a safe construction site without accidents to make a workplace where people can work with peace of mind.”
