[Photo] Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Attends Nowon-gu Youth Culture Planning Group 'Cheong·Chwi' Appointment Ceremony

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] On the 15th at 2 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the appointment ceremony of the Nowon-gu Youth Culture Planning Group Cheongchi (Youth Taste Sniper) held at the small auditorium of Nowon-gu Office.

The event proceeded in the order of opening, awarding of appointment letters, introduction of major activities of the youth festival, mayor's greeting, and commemorative photo session.

At the appointment ceremony, 18 members of the Youth Culture Planning Group Cheongchi were appointed. They plan to carry out the 3rd Youth Festival to be held in October based on youth opinions and participation from the planning stage to promotion and operation.

The 1st Nowon-gu Youth Festival 'Nochul' in 2019 was held with the concept of 'retro' at the underground parking lot, 2nd floor auditorium, and mayor's office of Nowon-gu Office, featuring booth operations and youth performances, with about 5,000 youths participating. Last year's 2nd festival was held as an online non-face-to-face festival. These festivals achieved results in creating a new youth culture in Nowon-gu, with youths having a positive perception of the region.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "Last year, the youth festival was held online due to COVID-19, which was regrettable. This fall, I look forward to great activities from Cheongchi members so that a wonderful festival can be held on site," and added, "The district office will also do its best to prepare youth-only spaces where youths can relax and relieve stress with peace of mind."
