According to the bereaved family on the 15th, Mr. A (72), who lives in Daedeok-gu, received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine last month and the second dose on the 6th.
Afterwards, Mr. A, who was treated for symptoms such as convulsions and fever and returned home, was transported to the intensive care unit of a nearby hospital by 119 paramedics due to cardiac arrest on the morning of the 13th, but died on the afternoon of the 14th.
It is known that Mr. A had underlying conditions such as diabetes.
The Daejeon City Vaccine Adverse Reaction Rapid Response Team plans to submit the results to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency after a preliminary investigation based on Mr. A's past medical records and condition after vaccination.
The final causal relationship between the vaccination and death will be determined by the KDCA.
Separately, the police also plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to investigate the exact circumstances.
