[Asia Economy Reporter Seoyoung Kwon] Son Hyun (50), the father of Son Jeongmin (22), who was found dead after going missing at Seoul Hangang Park, revealed that he visited his son's school to organize his belongings.
On the afternoon of the 14th, Son Hyun posted an article titled "Jeongmin's Locker" on his blog. The photos in Son's post showed the locker his son used at school exactly as it was.
Son began, "Today, I went to Jeongmin's school." He continued, "I felt I needed to organize his things. Because of COVID-19, there were many remote classes, so there were no books in the locker," adding, "Seeing the gown and arm sleeves, my wife and I cried once again. Remembering Jeongmin who must have used this place made my heart ache deeply." Son expressed his feelings, saying, "I can picture my son walking around the hallway outside the locker," evoking sympathy.
Additionally, Son said, "Yesterday, I conducted a forensic analysis on my son's phone myself." He added, "I transferred numerous photos and videos. I obtained photos from the messages." He concluded the post by emphasizing his longing for his son, saying, "According to my wife, (my son) had an opportunity to do a PJT at a certain hospital. I deeply miss his bright face and pure appearance."
Meanwhile, regarding the autopsy report from the National Forensic Service, which estimates Son Jeongmin's cause of death as drowning, Son is reported to have said, "We assumed drowning from the beginning," and "Now, only the task of clarifying how he ended up in the water before his death remains."
