[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] The global fast-food chain 'McDonald's' is reported to have designed uniforms featuring the Hangul logo, raising expectations among netizens.


On the 12th (local time), the U.S. fashion media outlet 'SAINT' posted on its official Twitter account a photo with the caption "McDonald's employee uniforms on May 26."


The revealed photo shows Hangul characters 'ㅂㅌㅅㄴㄷ' and 'ㅁㄷㄴㄷ' alongside the BTS group and McDonald's logos. These are presumed to be the Hangul consonants for Bangtan Sonyeondan and McDonald's, respectively.


After the photo was released, some netizens speculated that McDonald's might be planning an event in collaboration with BTS.

McDonald's plans to sell the so-called 'BTS Meal' set menu starting from the 26th. This menu will be available for a limited time until June 20 in 49 countries across six continents, beginning with the United States, Canada, and Brazil.


Earlier, McDonald's also revealed the sauces included in the BTS Meal set. The sauce packaging features Hangul text reading 'Sweet Chili' and 'Cajun.'


Seeing the uniform designs and sauce packaging, netizens expressed excitement about being able to see Hangul at McDonald's locations worldwide. Comments included "I hope they sell the T-shirts," "BTS is promoting national pride," and "We will be able to see Hangul anywhere in the world," showing pride and enthusiasm.
