[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, has discovered all-smile public officials and residents who perform their duties with bright smiles and selected them as 'Mask Smile Holders.'

According to the county on the 13th, the all-smile public officials for the first half of this year were Choi Hwa-won, a staff member of the Safety and Construction Division, and Kim Da-som, a staff member of the Sancheong-eup Administrative Welfare Center. Among residents, Choi Seon-hwa, who is in charge of job counseling in the Economic Strategy Division, was selected.

This year, the county named the all-smile public officials as 'Mask Smile Holders' by combining friendly smiles with masks that protect health.

Since 2001, the county has been selecting all-smile public officials and civilians every first and second half of the year to discover and encourage residents who actively participate in county administration and implement civil service that impresses customers.

In 2019-2020, the county also discovered 'Herbal Smile Holders' by combining Sancheong-gun’s premium medicinal herbs with friendly smiles.

A county official said, “Although we live with masks to prevent the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), we selected 'Mask Smile Holders' to remember the bright smiles behind the masks. It is a time when people can easily become sensitive, but we hope everyone can always work with a smile by considering each other's positions.”
