Seoul City Urban Planning Committee Approved with Amendments
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] The Seoul Metropolitan Government has changed the zoning of the area around Boramae Station to a Neighborhood Commercial Area to promote the revitalization project of the Boramae Station area.
On the 12th, Seoul held the 6th Urban Planning Committee meeting and announced on the 13th that it had approved the revised "Boramae Station Area Revitalization Pilot Project Urban Management Plan Amendment."
The area in question is located at 377-1, Sindaebang-dong, Dongjak-gu, and the city plans to promote the station area revitalization project. The plan includes supplying 52 public rental housing units mainly for small households and establishing a health center and public rental offices (startup support facilities). A Seoul city official stated, "With the opening of the Sillim Line next year, the Boramae Station area is expected to strengthen its function as the Hwangseung Station area."
According to this decision, the zoning of the area will change from Type 3 General Residential Area to Neighborhood Commercial Area. The final project plan will be decided after review of the district unit plan by the Urban Architecture Joint Committee in the future.
