[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seok-jin] The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (Gong-su-cheo) announced on the 12th that six prosecutors from the investigation unit will receive a four-week commissioned training at the Legal Research and Training Institute's Yongin branch starting from the 31st.

The first commissioned training will be conducted over four weeks from the 31st to the 25th of next month.

The training for the investigation unit prosecutors will focus on special investigation practices, including understanding special investigations, special investigation investigation techniques, and special investigation prosecution maintenance.

In particular, as the importance of digital forensics has increased in recent investigations, subjects such as computer, mobile, and network forensics have also been included in the training schedule, Gong-su-cheo stated.

Earlier, on March 3rd, Gong-su-cheo requested the Legal Research and Training Institute to establish a training course for the investigation unit prosecutors. After consultations, the training subjects were finalized on the 6th.

Kim Jin-wook, head of Gong-su-cheo, said, “We expect that this commissioned training will strengthen the investigative capabilities of the investigation unit prosecutors.”
