Cafe24 held a webinar on the afternoon of the 12th titled "E-commerce Feature Expansion Strategies Used by Successful Shopping Malls."
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Cafe24 announced on the afternoon of the 12th that it held a webinar titled "E-commerce Function Expansion Strategies Used by Successful Shopping Malls." The event attracted great popularity, with about 1,500 pre-registrants.
At this event, the major applications (apps) used by successful shopping malls such as Yukyuk Girls and Hotping, along with their utilization results, were revealed. Experts from the development companies that implemented each app gave presentations themselves. Oh Ye-ji, manager at Lunasoft, which provides the remarketing solution Reload, introduced the achievements of the fashion shopping mall Hotping, which exceeded 70 billion KRW in sales last year. Reload is a service that detects the moment customers leave the shopping mall and strategically displays pages containing recommended products and promotions to induce customer re-entry.
Hotping has utilized the Reload solution for over two years. When creating Reload pages, they highlighted the advantage of reasonable prices by displaying the prices of all products and organizing the page to showcase as many products as possible on one page. Thanks to this, they were able to raise the purchase conversion rate to 9.6%.
The results of ‘Live24,’ a solution that helps conduct live commerce broadcasts on Cafe24-based proprietary shopping malls, were also disclosed. One children's clothing brand promoted the broadcast before going live and used live special offers and quizzes, achieving sales of 50 million KRW in a one-hour broadcast. Sales on their proprietary mall also increased by 50%.
Methods to increase customer purchase conversion rates using artificial intelligence (AI) technology were introduced as well. Kim Jung-tae, CEO of Odd Concept, said, “Pixel AI is a solution that analyzes and recommends not only the products consumers are looking for but also items that match those products, much like how Netflix recommends content.” He added, “Online businesses using the Pixel service can increase their usual customer purchase conversion rate of about 1% to around 7%.”
Choi Sung-jin, CEO of OnlyOne, introduced an easy way for online businesses to check the scheduled settlement amounts by sales market. He explained, “Manually compiling daily changing settlement details for each shopping mall takes a long time, and since each mall has different standards, it is difficult to grasp the scheduled settlement amounts.” He added, “Using SellerBot Cash, you can view settlement tasks at a glance for 42 shopping malls including open markets, various PG companies, and offline department stores.”
Yong Dong-woo, manager at Snap Company, guided how to efficiently display shopping mall products using big data. He said, “It is difficult for online businesses to directly check customer data and display products.” He added, “By using SnapQ, a service where AI automatically displays products that users are likely to like based on big data, user churn can be reduced and sales increased.”
All the functions introduced this time can be downloaded and utilized from the Cafe24 Store. Lee Jae-seok, CEO of Cafe24, stated, “In addition to helping build shopping malls based on a hyper-connected strategy, we are providing many functions necessary for operating businesses.” He added, “We plan to continue creating and expanding an ecosystem where both developers and online businesses can grow.”
