[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] Hyundai Engineering & Construction announced on the 12th that it will conduct the ‘2021 First Half Quality Week’ to enhance the quality awareness of employees and partner companies and to establish a quality construction culture at domestic and overseas sites.
This is a quality campaign conducted for all employees and partner companies, first implemented last year under the slogan "Spreading a work culture that values quality basics." The company explained, "There was significant effect in raising interest and improving awareness of quality by directly and indirectly participating in quality activities that were usually difficult to practice," adding, "The satisfaction of participants was also high, so it has been decided to hold it regularly from this year."
This year, to help employees who are not easily exposed to quality tasks, a new ‘Quality Consultation Office’ was operated where the Quality Management Office directly answers questions about the company’s quality system and on-site quality tasks, introducing new formats that employees can participate in together. In addition, various quality participation events such as the ‘Quality Acrostic Challenge’ and ‘Quality Management Office Presents’ were held to encourage employees to intensify on-site quality enhancement activities for customer satisfaction.
Especially, in this event marking its second year, Hyundai Engineering & Construction established its unique ‘7 Major Quality Norms’ to strengthen the quality mindset of not only employees but also partner companies and workers and to spread a quality culture that values basics. Posters were produced and distributed to 114 domestic sites.
A Hyundai Engineering & Construction official said, "This campaign is not a simple event but a quality campaign to strengthen quality management activities prioritizing customer satisfaction, contributing to the more practical internalization of quality awareness," and added, "We will continue to do our best to provide customers with Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s highest level of quality through various programs."
