According to Yeosu City on the 11th, as of 11 a.m. that day, six people (Yeosu cases 131 to 136) tested positive for COVID-19, and since a confirmed public official from Yeosu City Hall was included, the Gukdong temporary city hall was closed.

Public official A recently experienced cold symptoms such as phlegm and cough, tested positive in a diagnostic test, and was classified as Yeosu case 136.

Yeosu City is temporarily closing the Gukdong office building and conducting mass testing for about 1,000 employees of both the main office and the Gukdong temporary city hall.

An employee of a factory in the Yeosu Industrial Complex (Yeosu case 133) also tested positive that day, prompting mass testing of 250 people, including 200 factory workers and 50 subcontractor employees.

Yeosu case 131 is a family member of Yeosu cases 84 and 85 and was under self-quarantine when finally testing positive that day. This confirmed case was admitted to Suncheon Medical Center along with their mother, who was also confirmed positive, as there was no one to care for them during transfer.

The Yeosu Regional Labor Office also closed its building and is testing all employees after one staff member was identified as having close contact with a confirmed case.

Since the 2nd, COVID-19 originating from entertainment establishments has been spreading indiscriminately in Yeosu, with the number of confirmed cases rising to 136.
