[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Veteran domestic artists are holding an exhibition to comfort and overcome together with the people exhausted and struggling due to COVID-19.


Re-Seoul Gallery announced on the 11th that it will hold the "May Festival Overcoming COVID-19" exhibition at Re-Seoul Gallery in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, from the 18th to the 29th. Twenty-five famous Korean contemporary artists from Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Jeonbuk, Gyeongnam, Gyeongbuk, Gangwon, and other regions have united their hearts to submit works.


The participating artists are ▲ Jang Geonjo ▲ Ji Seokcheol ▲ Joo Taeseok ▲ Hyeong Jinsik ▲ Seo Myeongdeok ▲ Kim Jonghak ▲ Jeong Gyeongyeon ▲ Kim Gyeonghee ▲ Kwak Sooyoung ▲ Lee Pilha ▲ Lee Sangbong ▲ Jang Hyeyong ▲ Park Hangryul ▲ Lee Yundong ▲ Song Jungdeok ▲ Song Inheon ▲ Choi Hyang ▲ Han Heewon ▲ Eom Yunsuk ▲ Eom Yunyoung ▲ Kim Younghwa ▲ Ryu Jaewoong ▲ Choi Youngwook ▲ Ryu Myeongryeol ▲ Lee Sehyun, totaling 25 artists.


Professor Seo Seongrok of Andong University, who participated as a promotion committee member for the exhibition, said, "This exhibition was prepared with hope that a day will surely come when we regain ordinary daily life despite being helpless in the face of the pandemic," adding, "The more difficult society becomes, the more wisdom is needed to unite strength and turn crises into opportunities, and the participation of artists is encouraging in that it promotes social bonds."


Park Seobo, a master of Korean Dansaekhwa, said about this exhibition, "I send applause of support and encouragement to the artists who think of our society first."
